Here are some steps that you have to follow to increase your productivity:
1. Remove Distractions:
The first and most important thing is to eliminate things from your life that distract you, the things that stop you from focusing on your work. It can be anything but for the majority of people, it will be Social media. See social media is designed in a way that it gives you fake pleasure moments and you don't even feel that you are wasting your most important thing mindlessly on it which is your time. Time is the most expensive thing as it never comes back and it is a saying that:
" A person who wastes his time, the time wastes that person"
Therefore, the most important thing is to eliminate distractions.
2. Set your goals:
Everyone has a goal in their life and it
varies from person to person. Do one thing now get yourself a pen and paper and
write your goals on it. Write things that you want to achieve in your life and
once you have that follow next steps.
3. Focus on Yourself:
This is very important because the main point of productivity is to excel in life and without fitness there is no benefit of being productive. Both physical and mental fitness are very important. For physical fitness you should workout 4-5 times in a week and also walking or running on morning is very helpful both physically and mentally. For mental fitness, try meditation as it helps a lot in developing focus, calming your brain and it freshens your mood throughout the day which is very great.
4. Set a routine:
Being productive doesn’t mean that you cut yourself from entertainment. It simply means setting your routine in a way that by following you get to do both things complete your work and enjoying life. Set a routine for your day and simply follow it.
5. Plan for next
day:
An easy way for this is that before sleeping you write the tasks which needed to be completed tomorrow. This will help a lot as when you wake up, you will have a list of tasks which will save you time figuring out what to do.
6. Focus on one thing at a time:
Multitasking is the biggest enemy of productivity. Because in multitasking you have your mind in two directions and being productive means focusing on a task and completing it efficiently. Therefore, focus on one task at a time.
7. Develop a habit:
Develop a habit that you like to do. For some people it will be reading, for some people it will be sports, gaming, workout, etc. The benefit of a habit is that doing that habit charges you up and increases your focus which is very important in productivity.
8. Help People:
We know that it doesn't relate to the topic but humans are designed in a way that when they help someone they feel good and it increases their sense of purpose and as we defined productivity as doing something that has purpose or that will help you in any way. By helping people you help yourself and helping yourself is what productivity is all about.
